For those of you who requested the marinade recipe on the fourth of July…..

Summer Buzz Marinade

1/2 c each; pineapple juice, low sodium soy sauce, brown sugar
1 oz dark rum
2 sliced scallions
2 inches fresh ginger, smashed
2 cloves garlic

Put it all in a big ziploc with your steaks or chicken (or whatever) for 2 hours or more, up to overnight. Grill or broil, fast and hot! Reserve extra marinade and bring it to a boil on the stovetop to drizzle over cooked meat if you like it saucy!
